Erwin Kleinnagelvoort gaat Tom Coronel showen hoe racen ECHT moet

The FIA European Truck Racing Championship will welcome the WTCR – FIA World Touring Car Cup presented by OSCARO from 13-15 July to the Slovakia Ring in July after agreement was reached recently to create a super weekend of FIA action.

A rare opportunity to see two FIA championships race on the same weekend will take place over the weekend of 14/15 July at the Slovakian venue close to Bratislava.

The WTCR – FIA World Touring Car Cup has been accommodated at the event after cordial and progressive negotiations were conducted between representatives of ETRA, Eurosport Events and Slovakia Ring.

The fixture will be the fourth round of the FIA ETRC and see many of the entries racing close to home ground with reigning champion Adam Lacko from neighbouring Czech Republic and double title winner Norbert Kiss from Hungary.

“We offer a warm welcome to our friends and colleagues at the WTCR – FIA World Touring Car Cup,” said ETRA director, Rolf Werner.

“A great opportunity to have a common event with two FIA championships was very appealing to everyone and I am sure it will be very well received by competitors, fans and media alike.”

Fellow ETRA Director, Georg Fuchs added: “Our event was the right fit at a late stage for the WTCR – FIA World Touring Car Cup and it is obvious we share the same progressive outlook to make a dynamic and enjoyable event.”

The weekend will see a busy and vibrant paddock in addition to the abundance of on-track action at the challenging Slovakia Ring circuit.

The meeting will enjoy live TV broadcasting and live streaming throughout the event. Further details on the timetable and other attractions for the weekend will be announced shortly.
