Een Saab Harleklimo in Oliana

Andorra nog maar amper uit, kwam ik op donderdag 24 juli 2025 door het Catalaanse dorp Oliana. Toen ik deze Saab passeerde keerde ik toch maar even om! Dat moest ik beter bekijken. Een ‘Harlekin‘ limousine!

Het kenteken op de bekende sites natrekken gaf geen resultaat, hij is dus niet meer in de UK geregistreerd. Wat hij dan op Brits kenteken in Spanje doet..? Hopelijk krijgen ze er geen ongelukken mee, verzekeringen vinden dit soort dingen niet grappig. Wat verder zoeken op het kenteken gaf gelukkig wél resultaat. Zo vond ik dit op de veilingsite waar hij , toen nog statig zwart, op 9 december 2021 voor £1.430,- is afgehamerd: “Coleman Milne conversion with 2.3 turbo power, automatic transmission and seating for 8 showing just 53,451 and in service until Oct-21

Dating from September 2001 this Saab 9-5 was converted from new by specialists Coleman & Milne into this grand 8-seater Limousine we see here.

In active service until October 2021 the car has covered just 53,451 miles in the hands of its two owners, both Funeral directors – the current owner, a Kilmarnock based firm have owned the car since February 2008.

Presenting well with but a few marks and small bubbles under the additional middle door, the car could be put back to work or given another purpose entirely.

Under the bonnet, we find the 2.3 litre turbocharged 4-cylinder petrol engine driving the front wheels via 4-speed automatic transmission. Inside, we find grey cloth trim, electric divider window, electric windows, mirrors and climate control. Some of the LCD display crystals have suffered in the common way on the information panel.

The history file includes the V5C, owner’s pack, reg transfer docs, 11 old MOTs and current valid until September 2022 with 3 advisories recorded for an oil leak and corrosion to a brake ferule and pipe. Buyers please note, the EML light came on during delivery from North Shropshire and the car did cut out when moving it around.”
