In het najaar is er altijd een verhoogd aantal Spaanse trucks op het industrieterrein in mijn woonplaats, dat heeft een hele logische reden, ze komen sla uit het zonnige zuiden brengen bij van Gorp Greenfood. Een deel van het jaar komt de sla uit Nederland maar op een gegeven moment is dat door het weer natuurlijk niet meer mogelijk en dan komen de Spanjaarden naar het sombere en natte Nederland.
Every autumn there are a lot of trucks from Spain in my hometown, the reason is quit simple. On our industrial zone is a company called van Gorp Greenfood and they use a lot of salad and for a big part of the year they get their greens from the Netherlands, but once the weather turn grey and miserable the salad comes from Spain.
Hessing komt sinds kort met een LZV naar Belfeld, moet eerlijk toegeven dat ik even moest kijken hoe deze trailer werkt, voor degene die het net als ik nog niet in het echt hebben gezien, onder de korte trailer zit de dolly, en kan door de chauffeur uit worden geschoven. Op de onderstaande foto zie je hoe de complete combinatie er dan uit.
For people outside the Netherlands this might look like a strange short trailer with a whole lot of axles for a short trailer, but this trailer has a secret, the rear axles can slide out to form a dolly to hook up a second trailer. We call them LZV trucks and on this picture you can see one from Hessing. And in the next picture you can see how the combination looks in full length.
